MEET THE OWNER
Selena Sandman-Wells is a member of the Chippewa Cree Tribe and was born and raised in Havre, Montana.
Selena first learned to bead at 12 years old. What started as a way to keep her out of trouble quickly became a passion and creative outlet. She created the name SSW Beadwork in 2016 and officially established her business in 2022.
After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Psychology, Selena made the decision to leave her career in healthcare and pursue her beadwork business full-time.
In November 2025, SSW Beadwork expanded from an online business into a storefront in downtown Havre. While Selena continues to create and sell her own beadwork, she wanted to create a welcoming space where people could find quality beading supplies, discover Indigenous-owned businesses, connect with artists, and build community.
